We all need a little TLC - no matter what the weather - so when we had the chance to relax, revive and recharge with the Summer Sparkle Spa Experience we were off like a shot and in our robes and slippers with big smiles on our faces ready for pure pampering paradise!

The Sugahfix gals enjoyed an afternoon of pampering and relaxation kicked off with our favourite thing - food! After a delicious lunch and juice we enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the steam room before chilling out in the relaxation room before our treatments.

My therapist Karen was brilliant and really listened to my ails and wails before selecting two treatment oils to suit my woes and then doing a sensory test to allow me to let my senses choose the right oil for me. Both smelt lovely but I was more drawn towards one, which turned out to be the fitness oil, which was actually the perfect choice for my achy limbs.

I would tend to go for a back massage rather than a full body but after the Espa full body massage I think I've been missing out! Karen worked on my back, arms and scalp with an amazing head massage before moving on to my feet and legs. Total bliss!

We then moved to another treatment room for the luxury manicure. My poor hands have been really neglected and are lucky to get a quick swish of a nail file if they break so they were in dire need of pampering. Karen scrubbed, buffed and massaged my hands, shaped and buffed my nails and sorted out my awful cuticles to manicured perfection. She then applied an intensive moisture mask, wrapped my hands in cling film and popped them into heated mitts. The best bit was that I got a pillow to have a wee snooze while the heated mitts did their work – after being so relaxed from the massage – I was out like a light! My hands emerged looking years younger – smooth, plump, super-soft and even toned. Finally Karen applied a base coat, a gorgeous deep aubergine toned OPI nail polish and glossy topcoat. Just to make sure my nails didn't smudge I was ushered back to the relaxation room and wrapped up for a little afternoon snooze – now this is how everyone should let their nails dry!
